-Check out your brakes – Your brakes may not be as strong as they were back when we had warmer weather; make sure you give them a good check-up before heading out. Check your pads and discs to ensure that they are in good condition.
-Replace or repair wiper blades – Windshield wipers don’t work very well in the winter because snow and ice will accumulate on them and can create a “blind spot” on your windshield. Replace them with Bosch ICON Wiper Blades and you’ll be sure to have a clear view of the road ahead
-Replace your lights – Replace your bulbs with long life versions before winter arrives. This is an easy way to reduce glare and spoilage

-Check out the tread on your tires – Worn tires are dangerous and can cause accidents. They should be replaced every 5-7 years depending on wear and tear
-Clean up your interior – Make sure that your vents, dashboard and steering wheel are free of any dirt or grime. Clean up all console compartments.
-Look at your battery – Cold weather can do a number on batteries. Consider replacing your battery if it is more than 3 years old
-Keep a good emergency kit in the trunk – Regardless of season, an emergency kit is important. This should include jumper cables, flares, a flashlight with batteries (if it doesn’t have batteries consider buying new ones), ice scraper, blankets, a shovel, road salt or sand to help you gain traction if needed and non-perishable food items.
-Check the bolts on your wheels – Make sure that all of your bolts are tight, as loose bolts can lead to some pretty serious trouble down the road.
-Inspect your fluids Make sure you have enough coolant for your engine. Also make sure you have plenty of windshield wiper fluid (some automobiles will actually stop the wipers if they are low on fluid, which can make for dangerous driving conditions). Also check all other fluids to make sure you have enough such as oil, transmission fluid and more.
