Like anything mechanical, automobiles are made up of thousands of components that get worn down or break and when they do, the repair costs can be more than you expected.
5 ProGuard Plans To Choose From
Most of our vehicles qualify for a protection plan at a very affordable cost. These are nation-wide warranties and you can bring your vehicle to any registered repair shop for service. There are 5 ProGuard plans to choose from. Here are our ProGuard Protection Plans and what they cover:
ProGuard 1, our limited liability product, covers the components that power the vehicle: the transmission, engine and differential. Powertrain components are more likely to break the more mileage a vehicle has and when they do, are the most costly to repair. This plan includes labor and is designed for most higher mileage vehicles up to 200,000 miles at time of purchase. It is the minimal protection available so for more peace of mind, consider ProGuard 2.
- Differential: All internally lubricated parts, Bearings, Center support bearing, Differential housing, Ring and pinion gears, Spider and side gears.
- Engine: Gas/Diesel – All internally lubricated parts, including Exhaust manifold, Timing chain and Gears, Timing belt. Engine block is covered with the failure of an internally lubricated part.
- Four and AWD: All internally lubricated parts of the transfer case including Bearings, Bushings, Chains, Gears, Sleeves, Sprockets.
- Labor on all covered repairs
- Seals and Gaskets: Cylinder heads, Intake manifold (all others are covered in conjunction with a covered component repair).
- Transmission: Automatic/Manual; All internally lubricated parts including Electronic switches/solenoids

ProGuard 2 includes the powertrain components plus the cooling system, fluids and turbo/supercharger for most vehicles up to 150,000 miles at time of purchase. Should one or more of these components break down, we will pay up to the actual cash value of the vehicle in claims so you can be confident that you are covered. For added protection, the plan also includes 24/7 roadside assistance and towing to get you help wherever and whenever you need it.

-- Diagnostics: First hour is covered.
-- Drive Axle: CV joints, Drive shafts, Universal joints.

-- Fluids and Filters: Any fluids and filters required due to a covered component failure (excludes refrigerant).

If you want major component coverage, then ProGuard 3 is the right plan for you. In addition to the powertrain components, the plan covers braking, cooling, fuel system, electrical system and steering for most vehicles up to 150,000 miles at time of purchase. A number of other major components are also covered, including ABS, air conditioning, and suspension. That’s not all – ProGuard 3 includes many advanced electrical parts (such as door, power mirror and seat switches) that are very costly to repair. You also have the benefit of 24/7 roadside assistance and rental car reimbursement to minimize out-of-pocket expenses if your vehicle is in the shop.

Coverage includes the advanced drive axle, engine and transmission, advanced plus electrical parts, fuel injectors and cruise control assembly for most vehicles up to 125,000 miles at time of purchase. Highly used interior and exterior items (such as hood and trunk struts and hinges) and a multitude of sensors that are relied on to keep your vehicle running properly are covered under this plan. ProGuard 4 also offers you roadside assistance, rental car reimbursement and trip interruption coverage should you break down away from home.
